Excavating Herring Cove Beach House,2012

performance installation

The Herring Cove Beach House stood at the tip of the National Seashore in Provincetown, MA. The 60-year-old structure, containing public showers and Life Guard staff rooms, had begun to become eroded by the sea and was abandoned by 2012. Excavating Herring Cove Beach House consisted of a one-day event where the artist along with participants searched for remnants of the previous inhabitants of the beach compound. The discoveries were methodically labeled and arranged in a makeshift display on sight.
